Four Cortile Gallery artists — Rob Longley, Brenda Silva, Catherine Skowron, and Ed Walsh — have begun a new chapter at Gallery 193 ArtSpace in Provincetown. Joining them is Cape School of Art instructor Syd Hale. This inaugural exhibition marks the first time the five resident artists have shown together, united by deep ties to Provincetown and the Lower Cape, and a lifelong commitment to capturing the region's shifting light, shoreline, dunes, and working waterfronts.

Rob Longley
Rooted in the Hawthorne/Hensche tradition, Rob's paintings move between landscape and urban scene — always in pursuit of light. His canvases carry the patient, considered eye of a painter who has spent decades studying the way illumination transforms the ordinary.

Brenda Silva
Weathered hulls, harbor light, and the rhythm of commercial fishing define Brenda's maritime paintings — intimate portraits of Provincetown's working waterfront. Her work speaks to the beauty found in labor and the sea's quiet persistence.

The dunes, shoreline, and ever-shifting coastal light of the Outer Cape are Catherine's focal point, rendered with quiet authority. Her paintings hold the hush of the Cape's wild places — spaces where sky and land dissolve into one another.

Ed Walsh
